Ambassador Programme

The Ambassador programme was something we launched for the first time last year and it was an enormous success. The idea behind the initiative is to bring students on board who want to be more heavily involved in a society than simply attending events and instead to be apart of the organising and preparation for the society’s dealing throughout the year.

The TES Ambassador programme is an excellent way to get involved in a society. As an ambassador I got a little sneak peak of what goes on behind the scenes, and what it feels like to be a member of a committee. The programme exposes you to new experiences, so it’s a great activity to put on your CV. It also gave me a clear path into being a full committee member this year.

what to expect

This year’s ambassadors will be assigned particular events and work alongside committee members who are spearheading those respective events. Oftentimes students find it difficult to get involved in societies and ultimately be part of the committee and so this initiative enables them to see first hand what it’s like to be apart of a committee.

get involved

This year’s TES committee consists of 3 members who were Ambassadors last year – one of whom is now our Treasurer – and it’s evident that there is a clear path for our Ambassadors to make their way towards decision-making positions should they wish to pursue their involvement in the society.
