Paul Allan - President 

Paul is a third-year Computer Science and Business student. Paul became part of TES in first year, becoming an Ambassador, last year he led our flagship program, the TES Incubator, as Incubator Manager. In addition to this Paul was on the winning team for TES Dragons Den in 2016/17. Paul has a background in entrepreneurship and has had startups in many industries including social media, fashion, retail and medical devices. He looks forward to continuing the growth and success which TES has had in past years and hopes to expand on all our events. Pauls favourite entrepreneur is Casey Neistat as he displays that education is not needed to be successful, just hard work, great ideas and taking help when it is offered.


Odin Hoffman - Vice-President and Secretary

Odin is a second-year Economics and Business student and generally very passionate about entrepreneurship. Last year he was the First-year Representative for TES, creating the link between the committee and Freshers newly joining the society. He is above all looking forward to enhancing the overall compensation structure, and making TES more social again. Additionally, his favourite entrepreneur is Phil Knight, the founder of Nike. With his passion for both sports and entrepreneurship, Knight has successfully implemented a very innovative business, essentially being the reason for Nike’s overwhelming success.


Cian Mulcahy - Treasurer

Cian is a final year BESS student specialising in Business and Economics, who previously served as a TES Ambassador in 2015/16, as well as an Events Manager on the 2016/17 committee. He is looking forward to expanding on the great work that last year’s committee achieved, whilst growing the society’s sponsorship base as the society moves forward into the coming year. Cians favourite entrepreneur is Denis O’Brien due to his use of entrepreneurship in adapting and thriving across various markets and industries internationally.


Luc Bellintani - Incubator Manager

Luc is a second-year Maths and Economics student. He has always had a keen interest in entrepreneurship, with a special interest in medicine. Following from being an Ambassador this past year, he is returning as Incubator Manager. He aims to dramatically increase the funding and the number of teams in the program. Luc's favourite entrepreneur is Elon Musk as he is changing the status quo on a daily basis.


Anya Mangat - Social Media Manager

Anya is a third-year Computer Science and Business student. She became part of TES in second year as a Social Media Ambassador working closely with both the former Social Media Manager and the Incubator Manager, writing blogs regularly. Anya is now the Social Media Manager of TES and has plans to expand the social media of the society to reach more people than ever, with a range of exciting new ideas. Coupled closely with the PRO and Graphic Designer the social media pages should be lively, entertaining and informative throughout the coming year. Anya’s favourite entrepreneur is Steve Jobs as he came from nothing and made everything with his ideas and imagination.

 


Ekaterina Edwardovna Lait - Public Relations Officer

Kate is going in to her second-year of Computer Science and will be the Public Relations Officer on this year’s committee. Her job is to work with sponsors and partners towards society events, ensure every member of the university ecosystem is aware of the societies’ many opportunities, and to maintain the high standard that TES has set previously in Europe's most entrepreneurial university. Kate’s role model and favourite entrepreneur is her mother who started her own beauty business in Istanbul. 


Katie Bolger - Speakers Convenor

Katie is a final year Law and Business student and she is Speakers Convenor for TES this year. Following the great success of Michael O’Leary, Katie hopes to continue the pattern of popular speakers coming to TES, both from Ireland and abroad. As well as big names, she wants to encourage several graduates of Trinity who have start-ups to speak at TES. This is to give our members an insight into an entrepreneur’s life from people they can relate to. Katie’s Favourite entrepreneur is Sergey Brin. He co-founded Google with Larry Page from their dorm room in Stanford. Despite coming from a difficult background (his family fled from the USSR when he was six), he did not let this hinder his development and ambition. His drive, creativity and work ethic are highly admirable.

Sinéad McAleer - Dragons Den Manager

Sinéad is a second-year Computer Science and Business student who is this year’s Dragons Den Manager. Sinéad’s favourite event last year was Dragons Den, so she is looking forward to growing TES’s largest event even further by encouraging entrepreneurs with all kinds of ideas to take part. She also hopes to expand Dragons Den by holding semi-final rounds. Sinéad’s favourite entrepreneur is Paul Allan.

 


Jack Kavanagh - Freshers & Social Manager

Jack, is a final-year BESS student specialized in Political Science and Business. It is his first year on the TES Committee and he hopes to grow the society through college wide events that appeal to a wide variety of Trinity’s students. He hopes to continue last year’s success in making entrepreneurship appeal to students outside of business and economics! During Jacks undergrad, he has been part of a few successful entrepreneurial idea’s. He was on the winning team of the 2nd year in Trinity Entrepreneurship module competition and the 3rd year Trinity Social Entrepreneurship module competition. Jacks favourite entrepreneur is Elon Musk as his ambitions go far beyond profit margins.


Laura Kinsella - Startup/Internship Fair Manager

Laura is a second-year BESS student. As Startup / Internship Fair Manager, she would like to give aspiring entrepreneurs and people interested in the business world exposure to the talent Trinity and TES have available to us as well as inspiration and opportunities for the future. Laura’s favourite entrepreneur is Walt Disney due to his determination to make his dreams a reality which led to the creation of not only a successful animation company, but a theme park which seems almost magical.


John Harding - Graphic Designer

John is the new graphic designer for TES. His role involves the presentation of the public face of the society in print and online, and he will be working closely with our social media manager and PRO to keep you all updated! He is very excited to be part of such a great committee this year and is particularly looking forward to working with some of the new startups coming through. Johns favourite entrepreneur is Enzo Ferrari although he was known to be an impulsive business man, he has a very interesting life story and went through a lot of struggle to realise his vision thus showing perseverance pays off. To quote John “Also his cars were cool”.

Simon Curran - Web Developer

Simon is a final year Business & Economics Scholar who is returning to the TES Committee after being joint-head of the TES Incubator in its pilot year. He has founded/co-founded two start-ups during his time in Trinity, and has participated in both the Launchbox start-up accelerator and LaunchPad Sprints programmes. Simon’s favourite entrepreneur is Ed Catmull, co-founder of Pixar Animation Studios, who has championed a company culture centred on innovation and creativity.
